Blue Diamonds highlight Sotheby’s sale

A Harry Winston diamond necklace featuring nine white diamonds of D-Colour is estimated to fetch $4.8m to $5.8m. A “group of extraordinarily rare blue diamonds” highlights Sotheby’s upcoming auction of Magnificent Jewels and Noble Jewels on November 15 in Geneva. The auction will feature colored gems and diamond jewels from Harry Winston, Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Bulgari and Pederzani. Among the highlights are a pair of Fancy Vivid blue diamond earrings, pear shape, VS2 clarity, 2.61 and 3.06 carats, estimated at $8-$10m. An exceptional pear-shaped 40.18 carats, D-Colour, is estimated at $2.5m to $3.5m. A Fancy Light Pink diamond, 21.19 carats, Type IIa, is estimated at $4.5-$6.5m.
A 7.37 carat, Fancy Intense Orangy Pink with a VS1 clarity is also being offered. It is valued at $2.2 million to $4.2 million or $298k to $570k per carat.

A 2.00 carat Fancy Deep Bluish Green Diamond is valued at $1.6 million to $1.8 million or $800k to $900k per carat.
A true rarity is a 2.02 carat, Fancy Intense Blue Diamond, Internally Flawless. It is valued at $2m to $3m or $1 million to $1.5 million per carat.

A blue diamond ring weighing 5.04 carats of rectangular cut is estimated to rake in $9-$12 million.
