Graff Blue Diamond Crossover Ring brings $ 12.5m

A Graff crossover ring with two fancy vivid blue diamonds was top lot at Christie’s New York Magnificent Jewels sale on Wednesday, bringing $12.5 million. The platinum ring is set with two pear modified brilliant-cut fancy vivid blue diamonds of 3.36 and 2.71 carats with VVS2 and VS1 clarity grades. The ring sold well above its $8.5 million estimate.

A 38.91-carat, cut-cornered square step-cut diamond made $3.6 million
A Belle Époque Kashmir sapphire of 11.81 carats sold for more than $1.7 million, smashing its $1 million estimate.

'Flower' ear pendants by JAR sold for more than $1.2 million.
